Essential Steps for Successful Consigning
Are you new to consigning with Transitional Design? Unlock the potential to sell your items effortlessly by following these essential steps.
You need to complete our company’s Selling Agreement form. We have these at our store and can be completed when you come in to start the process.
You will receive an email from ‘Simple Consign’ with your username and password (your username is also your consignor ID). This information will give you access to your consignor account where you can view your inventory.
You let us know what items you would like to sell. Follow the steps listed in our Getting Started on our Consignment page.
We will assess whether the item is likely to sell more effectively in our resale shop or through our online auction site, and we will update you with the details via email.
We will set fair prices for our store items, ensuring they are competitive and attract buyers. Once priced, these items will be displayed on the sales floor. For all items, we will discount them at 45 and 60 days. Any items not sold after 90 days, may be sent to auction.
When an item is set for auction, it will be photographed and accompanied by a detailed description. The auction will then be launched online, running for a week. Within a week after the auction ends, you’ll receive an email with a statement listing all items that were sold.
How will you receive your payment? We issue payouts once a month for both auction and store sales. Currently payments will be sent to you via check through the mail.
